This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Eisner Pediatric & Family Medical Center. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values of EPFMC. The employee shall support EPFMC’S strategic plan and goals and direction of the performance improvement plan. The employee will also be expected to support all organizational expectations including, but not limited to; Customer Service, Patient’s Rights, Confidentiality of Information, Environment of Care and EPFMC initiatives.
The Customer Communication Representative performs all job activities in both patient appointment scheduling and telephone operation. This position is responsible for handling all outside telephone calls to the Center and processing them accordingly. Assists patients needing appointments and provides them with accurate information regarding their appointments. The incumbent in this position shall demonstrate good customer service standards in dealing with people both in-person or via telephone. The position also provides accurate direction and instructions to customers when they enter the Center.
Qualifications & Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalency. Knowledge of basic dental terminology. Must be CPR certified.4.Proficient in English and Spanish. Experience with multi-button telephone, computer and other simple business equipment; must learn the Center’s computer and telephone system within three month of hire. Must learn procedures in appointment and telephone operator within three month of cross-training. Must demonstrate excellent telephone and customer service relation skills. Must be able to work evenings and Saturdays. Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and goals. Must be willing to work in a team environment for the overall success of the team and adapt to the workflow of different work sites. Proficiency in MS Office applications, including MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook required
