Emotional Health for Adults

We never want embarrassment or inconvenience to interfere with your getting the help you need to deal with the stresses of life. Stress is a part of everyone’s life, but when it threatens to affect your health or your peace, it may be time to talk to someone about it. Doctors long ago recognized that wellness comes when both the body and the mind are healing. Emotional health for adults is as important as your physical health. To make this holistic treatment available to our patients, we offer the Integrated Behavioral Health Program.

The program makes a health counselor part of your doctor’s team in both our Adult Medicine clinic and the Women's Health Center.

If you’re depressed, have trouble sleeping, or are struggling in your attempts to keep your high blood pressure or diabetes under control, your doctor might ask you to talk with her. You don’t have to make arrangements to go elsewhere to see the health counselor. As part of the primary care team, she visits with you in the same examination room where you see your doctor.

If you want to continue seeing the health counselor, you can schedule regular meetings or see her whenever you visit your doctor.

These services may be offered at no cost to you.
